Theron is the co-founder of IADC, dedicated to empowering Indigenous youth through sport and mentorship. A current elite hockey goalie, he combines athletic experience with business acumen to build programs that develop both skill and leadership. Theron is passionate about creating safe, culturally grounded spaces for youth to thrive.

Dr. Karhinéhtha’ Cortney Clark, DSc

Dr. Cortney Clark serves as the Chief Research Officer for IADC, where she leads the integration of evidence-based practices and data-driven insights into our youth programming. As a Doctor of Science in Rehabilitation and Health Leadership with a deep commitment to Indigenous health, Cortney specializes in identifying the systemic factors that impact athlete success. Her work ensures that IADC’s mentorship and training models are not only culturally grounded but also measurably effective, creating a sustainable blueprint for the next generation of Indigenous leaders.

Jason Morningstar

Jason Morningstar is the CEO of Mspections Inc. and an Indigenous housing specialist with a background in leading high-stakes operations, including serving as the leader of the Emergency Response Team in a federal prison. He has also spearheaded numerous successful startups and projects across Northern Ontario. Jason is committed to creating safe, sustainable, and culturally grounded housing for Indigenous communities.

Ali Altiman

Ali Altiman is a Youth Engagement Mentor and Cultural Ambassador with IADC, dedicated to empowering Indigenous youth through sport and mentorship. A current NCAA Division I hockey player at the University of Maine, she combines elite athletic experience with a passion for leadership and community engagement to guide young athletes in developing both skill and confidence. Ali is committed to creating culturally grounded spaces where youth can grow, learn, and thrive.

Nathan Maguire

Nathan is an elite goaltender for the Soo Thunderbirds (NOJHL) and a 2023 OHL draftee of the Flint Firebirds. Joining the IADC team with a firsthand perspective on the major junior landscape, Nathan is dedicated to helping young athletes find balance and success. His own journey is a testament to perseverance; he earned his OHL draft spot entirely on his own merit without formal agency representation, proving that a positive attitude and elite work ethic are an athlete’s most valuable assets.

Nathan’s connection to his heritage began at age nine when he first discovered his Indigenous roots. The pride and welcoming embrace he experienced from his community left a lasting impact, and he now strives to replicate that sense of belonging for every youth he mentors. Having navigated the highly competitive and high-pressure nature of junior hockey—from battling as a backup to recovering from injury—Nathan is fiercely passionate about the mental well-being of young players. He focuses on teaching youth how to thrive in demanding environments while ensuring they never lose the joy of the game.

Hunter Solomon

Hunter Solomon is a Youth Mentor with the Indigenous Athletic Development Circle (IADC), dedicated to empowering Indigenous youth through sport and mentorship.
Currently an elite defenceman with the Sarnia Sting in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), Hunter brings a hard-nosed, work-ethic-driven approach to the game and uses his platform to inspire the next generation of Indigenous athletes.
Hunter is passionate about giving back to his community and showing young athletes that it is possible to achieve high levels of success while staying deeply connected to their culture and identity.

Fun Fact: Hunter’s only pre-game superstition is always putting on his left skate before his right to maintain game-day focus.

Raiden Doxtator​

Raiden Doxtator is a dedicated forward with the London Nationals in the Greater Ontario Hockey League (GOHL), committed to representing his heritage and community through elite athletic performance.

Currently navigating a standout rookie season, Raiden was selected in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection by the Peterborough Petes. He is known for a high-octane style of play defined by elite hockey IQ, explosive speed, and a fearless work ethic that sets a standard for his teammates.

Raiden takes immense pride in his identity as an Indigenous athlete, using his platform on the ice to lead by example and demonstrate the power of relentless dedication for the next generation of players.

Jake Bond (Morningstar)

Jake Bond is a high-scoring forward with the U18 AAA Hamilton Steel in the OMHA, dedicated to blending elite offensive production with a relentless, high-pressure style of play.

Currently putting together a standout season with 43 points in 31 games, Jake has earned a reputation as a definitive "clutch player." He is known for a high-octane style of play defined by elite hockey IQ, calm composure under pressure, and a technical mastery of the game that sets a standard for his teammates.

As a Video Specialist, Jake utilizes advanced analytics to break down game film with precision. He possesses a unique ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for younger players, leading detailed video review sessions that help the next generation identify positional trends and scoring opportunities.

Jake takes immense pride in his identity as an Indigenous athlete, having represented Team Ontario at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships (NAHC). He uses his platform both on the ice and in the video room to lead by example and demonstrate the power of relentless dedication for the next generation of players.

Fun Fact: A true community leader off the ice, Jake spends his summers fishing and golfing on the Rez and hosts an annual Christmas shinny game, renting ice to bring his entire community together for the love of the game. He is also the cousin of CEO Theron Morningstar and COO Jason Morningstar.
